January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month

 

In honor of Human Trafficking Awareness Month, the Greater Brockton Area Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Task Force held a presentation on CSEC or the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children presented by Plymouth County Child Advocacy Center’s (CAC), SANE Nurse Practitioner, Rachel Niemiec.

The presentation discussed signs of human trafficking, and safety steps that can be taken to protect those currently being trafficked and survivors. Collaboratively the DV/SA Taskforce brought attention to pressing issues, and conducted constructive conversations about ways in which agencies and individuals can support the individual’s being trafficked and survivor’s well-being and safety.
