BI-LINGUAL VISITATION MONITOR – Family Based Support & Stabilization Services

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Family and Community Resources, Inc. (FCR) is to provide a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for all survivors of trauma, including those impacted by domestic and sexual violence, substance abuse, bereavement, and other causes. With the understanding that the aim of equality and justice is ongoing, we are committed to modeling diversity, inclusivity, and equity within our organization to reflect the communities in which we serve.

VALUES STATEMENT

FCR services are offered consistent with our values of choice, acceptance, hope and dignity with the goal of helping children and adults along their path to safety, health, and well-being. We are committed to advancing policies and practices that promote diversity, inclusion, and retention of staff and services to clients of all racial, ethnic, gender identity, and socio-economic backgrounds and beliefs. Our goal is to ensure that a wide range of perspectives, experiences, skills, innovation, and decision-making abilities have a seat around the table and that all voices are heard. We know that the quest towards equity and social justice is long, and there may be challenges along the way, but we are dedicated to making that journey in the spirit of continuous learning, listening, and improvement.

VISION STATEMENT

To inspire healthier communities free from family and community violence. Through our work in support of vulnerable populations, one day all children and adults will be able to thrive in a safe, just, and equitable world.

FCR has a rich history of serving marginalized and underserved communities. Established in 1968 as the Youth Resource Bureau (providing outdoor experiences for at-risk youth), it evolved in 1977 into an agency that serves the entire family. Following the establishment of a licensed mental health clinic and DV support services, FCR began offering supervised visitation services in 1991 for children and families impacted by domestic violence, child abuse, substance abuse and other forms of family and community violence. Today, FCR has expanded its program services to include advocacy and support for all survivors of trauma, a 24-hur hotline, visitation services, intimate partner abuse education, housing support for victims of domestic violence, and community outreach and education around the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault, with a focus on providing peer led healthy relationships programming for teens. Our numerous community partnerships help inform and enrich the work that we do to assist our clients in their pursuit of healing and happiness.
