2022 Walk for Survivors' Safety is On the Books!
After being rained out for our October 1 date, FCR, Inc. made it happen with a Halloween-themed Walk for Survivors' Safety on October 29 in DW Field's Park. We were joined by Brockton Mayor Robert Sullivan, Brockton's new police chief, Brenda Perez, District Attorney Timothy Cruz, and Representative Gerry Cassidy. Donors really delivered on an amazing array of raffle items including baskets filled with toys and games, makings for s'mores including a fire pit, a Kindle, gift cards for restaurants and salons, and wine.
Volunteers arrived at 8am to set up the spooky gazebo, games, the barbecue, and registration table. Participants started flowing in around 9:30. Before the beautiful 2-mile stroll through the park, participants were treated to a yoga stretch from Yoga with Evangeline. After the walk, there were plenty of games, prizes, and barbecue. The weather was perfect. It was a spectacular day!
