Family and Community Resources, Inc. (FCR) has a rich history of serving marginalized and underserved communities. Established in 1968 as the Youth Resource Bureau (providing outdoor experiences for at-risk youth), it evolved in 1977 into an agency that serves the entire family. Following the establishment of a licensed mental health clinic and DV support services, FCR began offering supervised visitation services in 1991 for children and families impacted by domestic violence, child abuse, substance abuse and other forms of family and community violence. Today, FCR has expanded its program services to include advocacy and support for all survivors of trauma, a 24-hur hotline, visitation services, intimate partner abuse education, housing support for victims of domestic violence, and community outreach and education around the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault, with a focus on providing peer led healthy relationships programming for teens. Our numerous community partnerships help inform and enrich the work that we do to assist our clients in their pursuit of healing and happiness.
