Full Time Position (35 Hours per week)

Reports To: Director of Trauma Services
General Description: Provide a continuum of services including crisis intervention, safety planning, supportive counseling, case management and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence as well as community outreach. This position requires two early evening per week and occasional Saturday hours to meet the needs of both survivors and the communities we serve.
Responsibilities: Co-facilitate community based support group for survivors; Provide community based advocacy, crisis intervention, information, referrals and safety planning ; Participate in community meetings, forums, trainings and collaborations as required; Provide outreach and education to social service providers and the general community about domestic violence and related services; Provide civilian police advocacy services to local police departments; Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly statistical reports as required by funding sources and FCR; Participate in day/evening crisis on - call rotation; Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Three years' experience and understanding of trauma and working with survivors of domestic violence using an empowerment model; child protection and criminal justice agencies; Proficiency in Cape Verdean Creole; Supervisory experience a plus; Ability to multi-task; Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; Valid MA driver's license and clean driving record; Good organizational and computer /data entry skills; Willing to work independently and as part of an exciting team providing a continuum of services for victims and their children; Must have appropriate boundaries and understanding of and commitment to maintaining strict client confidentiality.
Salary Range: $20 - $21 per hour
