October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

• Around the world, at least 1 in 3 women and 1 in 7 men are abused in their lifetimes.

• Up to 15 million children witness some form of violence annually.

October 4 - FCR in collaboration with Stonehill College held a table event to spread awareness about the warning signs and ways to prevent Domestic Violence.

October 6 - Stonehill College volunteers partnered with FCR's Domestic Violence Advocates to create FCR's DV Awareness Board.

October 6-11 - FCR and Stonehill College volunteers held a campus Toiletry drive for FCR children and families.

October 11 - In collaboration with the Women's Resource Center of Massasoit Community College, FCR participated in Domestic Violence Awareness Day. Students and community organizations came together to raise awareness and provide resources that will assist in the prevention of domestic violence throughout the college campus.

October 19 - Join FCR and local community organizations at our monthly Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Task Force Meeting! All are welcome. 9:00 am - 10:30 am, The United Way of Greater Plymouth County, 934 W Chestnut St, Brockton, MA

October 27 - FCR staff and Stonehill College volunteers will create Halloween Treat bags and bring them to the Boys and Girls Club of Brockton's Teen Center. A discussion on healthy and unhealthy relationships will be lead by FCR staff from the visitation center. 2:15 pm - 3:00 pm, 233 Warren Ave, Brockton, MA 02301
